Touched by the smoke and flame, this wheel thrown jar was fired in an open-air sawdust and wood kiln with a combination of organic materials and metals that flash and fume creating the beautiful coloring and dramatic surfaces. A copper patina lunar ring is painted on the lid and copper patina moon on one side of the jar with the other side touched by flashing and blackened carbonization. The crackle glazed interior has a special surprise copper flash. A truly unique and special vessel.
