Touched by the smoke and flame, this coil built organic form sculpture was fired in an open-air sawdust and wood kiln with a combination of organic materials and metals that flash and fume creating the beautiful coloring and dramatic surface. Pulled hot from the fire, I singe the piece with horsehair which imprints its carbon trails.
