Touched by the smoke and flame, this Snake Ellipse Bowl Wall Hanging was fired in an open-air sawdust and wood kiln with a combination of organic materials and metals that flash and fume creating the beautiful coloring and dramatic surfaces. The flashing and carbonization seems to divide the snake into a yin yang duality of light and dark and kissed with red flashing. The crackle glazed base has a special surprise carved detail on the foot and built in hanging system. A truly unique and special piece.
