Clay Camp
Inspire your child's imagination and skill building with this engaging week long Summer Clay Camp. Young artists aged 5-13 will enjoy learning a variety of ceramic techniques, both handbuilding and wheel-throwing in a supportive, creative environment. We’ll explore many exciting clay projects like ceramic board games, masks and animals, monoprinting and inlay, marbling and bubbleware, carving and sgraffito, and so much more.
This hands-on class fosters creativity and introduces your artists to the basics of sculpting and making functional wares, exploring surface decoration, glazing. A selection of the pieces they make will be fired to bring home. All materials and firing included.
Open to all experience levels. For those that have joined my classes or camp before, there’s always new projects and techniques to explore along with skills to refine, practice and grow. For those new to clay or my camp, this is a great opportunity to learn more about handbuilding and wheel throwing in a fun and creative small group.
Ages: 5 - 13 years old
Open to 8 students.
August 18 - 21.
Half-days. Monday - Friday, 9am - 12:30pm
Held at my artist studio in midtown Kingston. Demetria Chappo Studio, 77 Cornell St, Ste 318, Kingston, NY.
Payment & Cancellation Policy:
Camp Total $480.
Early Bird Discount: now through April 11, Full payments receive 15% off.
Payment options: 25% non-refundable Deposit or Full payment is required to secure your spot. If paying a deposit, balance will be due 30 days prior to the start of the workshop.
If Full payment has been made and you need to cancel, provided cancellation is made in writing at least 15 days before the workshop, you will receive credit after $75 processing fee valid for 6 months.
I am not able to offer make-up sessions or other refunds.
