Creative Clay is a workshop focusing on presence and process, a mediation with this earth material and to expand our individual creative voice. We’ll work through a series of guided exercises, structured play, and explorations of material, gesture, movement and collaborative connection. Then we’ll move deeper into sculptural and functional techniques and application. The workshop invites you to let go of expectation and become intrigued and inspired with new ideas and new approaches. Rather than a project driven class, we concentrate on process, discovery, exploration, and material dialogue. You’ll find this a space to release perfectionism, expand curiosity, nourish a playful childlike imagination and explore self expression. This class is for everyone, whether you’re new to clay or have years of experience.
At the end of class, you can choose up to 3 pieces to be fired and glazed.
All experience levels welcome.
