Launching at Shelter during NYC x Design, Demetria Chappo shares her latest collection of handcrafted ceramic vessels, sculptural objects and wall art inspired by natural landscapes, the resonance of water, and the play between earth materials and the cosmos.
Xora and Thalassa debut, two new series of wall art, relief tiles, lighting, and vessels that capture the presence of place, the calling of the sea and earth’s natural formations inspired by travels to national parks and walks closer to home along rivers, canyons and ridges. Smoke Painting Diptychs premiere in the Smoke Collection, all open-air fired using sawdust, wood, and other natural materials, to create dramatic surfaces indelibly marked by flame, smoke, and chance.
