I live and work on the Brooklyn waterfront.
Growing up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, I was first introduced to clay through my mother who studied ceramics. I started taking wheel-throwing classes while finishing my BFA in Acting at the University of Utah, and shortly after moving to New York found a pottery studio in my neighborhood where my love for clay deepened.
I’m influenced by nature, science, water, universal symbolism, music, and ordinary objects. I’ve always loved texture and how surface interacts with form. I find inspiration in organic and architectural elements of the deep south, the Gulf Coast and New York City.
I teach ceramic classes and workshops.
Thank you for visiting my site.
